Our partner had won a new program with a premium European OEM, requiring the adaptation of an existing valve software platform. The new application demanded expanded functionality, full cybersecurity compliance, and ASPICE-aligned development — capabilities not available in-house.

No Internal Cybersecurity Expertise

The existing software was developed under Functional Safety standards, but the new OEM required a cybersecure component. Bitron had neither the internal know-how nor the available engineering capacity to absorb this new discipline.

OTCEngineering took ownership of the software development, starting from the existing valve platform and selectively deactivating Functional Safety behaviours not required by the new OEM, while expanding the application logic.

We led the cybersecurity analysis of the component, producing the risk assessment and documentation the client needed to make informed decisions — without requiring them to build internal cybersecurity expertise.
ASPICE-Compliant Development
The entire development followed ASPICE methodology, with OTCEngineering also supporting the client on system-level validation to ensure a smooth handover and full traceability.
